Accessibility statement
Assistive technology is not what we're talking about.
AAC devices, assistive technology, and accommodations under IEPs and 504 plans are essential tools. They are outside the scope of our advocacy.
In practice
Our templates, letters and requests to schools never target accommodations. Every one of them includes a line that protects assistive technology, AAC devices, and IEP and 504 accommodations.
When parents in this community talk with teachers, principals or school boards, we say this out loud, at the start of the conversation.
Why we state this up front
Families who rely on these tools deserve to know where we stand before anything else. A conversation about screens in classrooms should never leave a child without the support they need.
This website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA: readable contrast, visible focus, labeled forms, and pages that work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
